PROJECT BOULDER

Celebrating the Heroes of Southern Nevada

Documenting the contributions of over 3,500 Marines and

FMF Navy Corpsmen buried at the Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery.

Project Boulder Mission Statement

Project Boulder is an effort sponsored by the Black Mountain Marine Corps League Detachment #495 of Henderson Nevada, to research the life of every Marine & Navy FMF Corpsman buried in the Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery near Boulder City, Nevada.

The ultimate goal of Project Boulder is to post biographies that allow visitors to access the information about every Marine and Navy FMF Corpsman who is buried in the cemetery.

Project Boulder is patterned after “The Stories Behind the Stars” created to organize one central digital location to collect the stories of the 421,000+ Americans who were killed during World War II. These stories will be digitally linked to all war memorials and cemeteries by a smartphone app so visitors can read the stories of the fallen.
